Revamping the election Process
The current election system is based on endorsments. This system is unreliable as nations who are inactive cannot fufil their duty to withdraw all previous endorsments. This leaves people with 2 votes and gives nations with high endorsment counts to begin with a huge advantage. Since we have this lovely forum here why don't we hold out elections here in a private section.

Re: Revamping the election Process
Comprehensive Election Reform
The electoral format that was in use in our most recent election of the delegate did successfully elect a delegate. It was a great accomplishment in that we democratically elected a leader and has kept that elected leader in his position as of now. However, I think we can all agree that that format is not without serious flaws.
The first of which is the fact that nations have not complied with the endorsement cap. They may be inactive, are opposed to such a policy, or just plain old don’t pay attention.
The second flaw is represented by the fact that during the election, nations have failed to clear their endorsements, for any combination of the above-mentioned rationales. This causes nations to inadvertently cast a vote for more than one candidate, compromising the authenticity of the results.
I am of the opinion that this system can remain in place with more intensive preparation. With proper steps an entire revamping of the system may not be necessary.
First, prior to the election we send multiple telegrams explaining the procedure and what is required of the nations, requesting a response that indicates that said nations would comply. We make regular posts on the regional board doing the same. Those nations that do not respond or remain inactive must be identified. The nations that are identified to have not pledged compliance with election procedure will be excluded from the election as they have chosen not to participate, a final list of such nations will be prepared at the last minute to ensure that all who wish to participate can do so. The responsibility of monitoring the implementation of said rules must be charged to two or more persons to ensure integrity.
I view this to be the only manner in which we can produce favorable results that indicate a clearly democratic and fair election for the delegate position under the current system. I obviously welcome any suggestions or contributions any of you may have.
